Please take a minute to read the following policy so you understand how we use the personal information we ask you to submit. As we update and expand our services, this policy may change, so please refer back to it periodically. If you use any of MyPCCenter.com services, you agree to these terms.
The Information We Collect
When you register at MyPCCenter.com, we ask you for personal information. We use this information to process your orders and requests and to communicate with you about the status of your computer. We also use your email address to send you newsletters you are subscribed to during registration, as well as messages about MyPCCenter special offers, promotional announcements and consumer surveys. Occasionally, we send our customers special offers and promotional information via postal mail, using the shipping address provided. If you no longer want to receive the newsletters, other announcements or postal mail, simply access Your Account and uncheck those items to unsubscribe.
Account information: The test process at Our prompts you to create an account so that you can save the results for later analysis or comparisons. To create an account, you enter your name (or nickname) and e-mail as part of the registration process. While we suggest you create an account for greater convenience in testing, you may instead use the site anonymously without supplying a name or email addresss.
Test Information: Our diagnostic tests do not access any personal information (such as the contents of personal documents or web browsing history) stored on a pc. The data collected from the pc includes items similar to the following:
BIOS, Browser type, CPU, Disk drives, Disk controllers, Installed Hardware, Memory, Running programs, System board, video, and, and installed hardware; System name, Windows version, System status such as CPU load and available disk space. We use cookies on the site to provide memory of your session and for convenience items such as remembering your login information.

How We Use Information
Account information: The personal information that you voluntarily give us (name and e-mail address) is kept strictly confidential, and will not be sold or made available outside of My Pc Center. When you first register at My Pc Center, we ask for your email address and a password. We send you an email with your user ID and password for your records. At this time, we subscribe you to various email publications. You can find more information on these programs, including information on how to unsubscribe, by going to the Your Account section of our web site.
My Pc Center also offers an Affiliate program, where affiliate members direct customers to My Pc Center through links on their Web sites. We ask affiliates for their site name (URL), mailing address, primary contact, pay-to address, technical contact, and other site-related information to determine whether a site will be included in our Affiliate Network. You can go to the Affiliate program area for more details. The information collected from our affiliates is used strictly for that program; none of this information is used for general marketing purposes.
We also track your diagnostic scans and billing history so you can access Your Account and immediately determine what tests were performed and when and what the results were. If you purchased any products from us, you also be able to see your billing history.
My Pc Center users should not post personal information on any forum page, as this information is made public. Pseudonyms can be used for such postings
System information: The information we collect about your pc is stored in our database, analyzed, then presented to you in easy to understand summary and detailed reports, along with recommendations for enhancement of your computer performance. The recommendations are not implemented by My Pc Center, we make no changes to your computer. Whether you follow these recommendations is at your discretion.
As part of ongoing improvement of our diagnostic systems, we collect information about all of the computers tested at our web site. This data is derived directly from the data collection described above. We only look at trends and focus on areas of greatest need to make further improvements.

Cookies
My Pc Center cookies:
To be able to remember your computer's test results on My Pc Center, we use cookies. My Pc Center does not use cookies to track computers in locations outside our site. No personal information is collected through the use of My Pc Center's cookies. You must accept some cookies for the site to work, and others are optional.
Third-party cookies:
Based on our diagnostic scans of your computer, we provide referrals to service and goods providers that can provide solutions for your computer enhancement. They may place and collect cookie information. The My Pc Center web site does not control the issuing or use of third-party cookies; they are not required, and you may reject or delete them if you choose. You can refer to their Privacy Policies to review the use of cookies on their web sites.

Forums
My Pc Center's Forums are used for technical support and peer review about issues within My Pc Center. Postings you make on the forums will become publicly viewed. Registration on the forums is separate from registration on the main site, and requires a publicly viewable name (or pseudonym) and an email address that can be kept private. Email addresses collected from registrations on our support forums are covered by the privacy policies discussed above.

Security and Access
For transmitting your personal information to us, we use a secure server (SSL), which encrypts all of your personal information. This encryption process ensures that the information you give us is protected against unauthorized access.
You can access Your Account from every page on the site to update and correct your name, email address, password, postal address, credit cards, and mailing list preferences. Please note that you must be signed in to My Pc Center to access this information.
We have implemented technology and security features, as well as strict internal guidelines, to safeguard the privacy of your personal information from unauthorized access or improper use. We will continue to enhance our security procedures as new technology becomes available. While we make every effort to ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
