What is computer security?
It is the process of preventing and detecting unauthorized use of your computer. Prevention measures help you to stop unauthorized users (also known as "intruders") from accessing any part of your computer system.
Why would someone spy on you?
There are multiple reasons. Intruders could try to gain control of your pc to use it to trigger other attacks without drawing attention to themselves when the risk of being identified is high.
The other reason is to steal your personal information to monetary gain, or to steal your identity, which is even more troubling.
What are security holes?
Most computer owners are not aware of the ease with which hackers can break into their PCs. The complexity of various software makes it very difficult to thoroughly test the security of computer systems. When security holes are discovered, vendors will usually develop patches to address the problems. However, it is up to you to obtain and install the patches, or correctly configure the software to operate more securely. You will not be notified. And that is where the problem lies.
Scan your compute in minutes and find out whether you have security holes or sufficient protection of your privacy.
